Who we are
Generation Arboriculture is a South Devon based tree consultancy, owned by Matt, who has a Level 3 qualification specialising in tree surveys & inspections, woodland management planning and new woodland creation. Matt is also a member of the Royal Forestry Society and Arboricultural Association.
With a lifelong passion for trees, the countryside, habitat management and restoration, we provide advice on how to best manage your wooded resources, whether it’s for biodiversity, recreation or financial gain. With years of experience, we have advised on management of woodland from a couple of acres upwards, taking into consideration the presence (or absence) of flora and fauna.
We believe we are merely custodians of the trees, woodlands and the natural landscape. Just like the decisions made by past generations, the choices we make now will impact future generations, which is why we believe in the importance of making the best and right decisions now, safeguarding our natural resources for our children and beyond.
Our Services
If you own one tree or a woodland, you should be aware of its health and condition. We can provide condition assessments, reports and management plans for a single tree, up to an entire woodland.

Visual tree surveys, inspections and risk assessments with written reports on the general health and safety considerations of your tree/s, plus management recommendations if needed.
Woodland Creation Planning
Pricing on demand
Design and creation plans for new woodlands, hedges and agroforestry interventions. Species selection to layout planning and assistance with obtaining funding (EWCO or otherwise).
Woodland Management Plans
Pricing on demand
Woodland condition assessments and woodland management plans based on the objectives for your woodland. Simple and Forestry Commission compliant plans available.
